about this painting:
The "Pallet" paintings are pretty simple. After I do a bunch of paintings, I usually have a lot of leftover paint just sitting in my pallet. So, instead of just washing all that pigment down the drain, I just use what colors are there in some simple design. Call it, "artistic recycling". Although, technically, I think "artistic not-wasting-expensive-pigment" is probably more accurate, but that just doesn't have the same ring.
