"Attempted Contour #4 (Islands)"
about this painting:
I've done a couple of "Attempted Contours", the idea is to mimic, kind of, a contour map of some kind. In this one the edges of the world that's mapped are very sharp. Maybe they're not islands in the water all? Maybe they're islands in crystal clear ice! Well then! That begs the question: If you can walk to another island, is it really an island?
